A Dutch friend of mine used to pronounce Aatxe 'Aah - teh - cuh'. And after a good number of 55/SS UW runs together, that's what stuck in my head.

So how do you pronounce it then? I've been saying "attics" or "att-acks" for the longest time.

And though it's not related to a place name, my guild leader used to say "bear-ege" instead of "barrage" for the LONGEST time. We finally found the nerve to correct him
Quote:
In all the cines, they call it Cry-ta, so that's what I call it.

Also, for like 2 years I thought it was Kilroy Stoneskin, not Kilroy Stonekin. My guild leader (the one who mispronounces barrage) brought it up and I looked it up so I could prove him wrong yet again. Turns out he was right, who knew?

Oh, and he also calls wiki "winki". No clue why... it's funny
WOW, Why are you so cruel to me? It's funny because when I first see a word I'm too lazy to find the right way to say it so the first thing that pops into my head I remember. Course there is always the reason I was born in Russia.

Same goes with "wiki", I pronounced it "winki" Just cause it seems to flow better. Now to mess around with all the people that are annoyed by me saying it wrong, I say "WI...KAI!" =D

I just call Aatxe's Fat Cows.

lol I can't stand when people pronounce things terribly. especially when it's obvious. like the "bear-age" thing. Tons of people say that.

Dont worry. Is a spanish word. And im spanish.

Just change -tx- for -ch- and you will find the answer. Oh, and try to prononce strongly the final -e.

Apparently Aatxe is pronounced something like "Aa-che" someone also told me Aegis is pronounced differently to the commonly used pronunciation "Ay-jiss"

The word "Aegis" was always quite bothersome.

I personally pronounce it "ay-gis" even though I know it's wrong. I was told the correct pronunciation is "ee-jis" but I've heard all types of pronunciations, the weirdest being "ay-ee-gis"

Aatxe : The name (pronounced ah-che) comes from Basque Mythology. An Aatxe is a spirit in the form of a bull that haunts caves.

how is the health regen bars pronounced? pips or pipes?
and where did that term come from ?!?!?
